This article was about the construction of the Embassy Suites Hotel on 14th Street in Denver, Colorado. This article interested me because I have stayed at most of the hotels downtown and I try to go downtown every chance I get, with either family or friends. It was interesting reading this article with a business prospective, rather than a consumer, as far as which types of people each of the hotels on 14th street, market their services to. "Hotels on 17th Street have a better shot at the commercial traveler, but that doesn't mean the ones on 14th aren't going to go after it." The competition aspect interests me because I am looking at a concentration in marketing. All of these hotels get a chance to market to business men and women visiting the convention center, but it would be interesting to look at the other aspects each hotel attempts to attract.
