2. Accounting- Accounting may be a field I am interested once I learn more about it. It may not be for me if it is mostly working only with numbers. I like to work with numbers, and "crunch" numbers, I do really well in math, but in a career I would like a little more spontaneity. Accountants seem to make the best money out of college and receive higher rates of internships though. I would like to learn more about this major to consider it.
Management- Management has always been something that I have always been interested in. I like to be always know what is going on, who is doing what, and I love to help people. I think it would be very fulfilling to start with an idea and build it up to an actual business or corporation. I feel like I am a very responsible person, and also very approachable. I can give advice with out being condescending. I know how to make a person respect me as an authority status, and also be a friend to them, and not be consumed with power.
Marketing- Marketing is what I originally planned on my major being. My creativeness is what always pulls me toward this major. I like thinking about why people buy certain things, which commercials are being directed to whom, what advertisers true motives are, etc. I can always come up with fun catchy phrases and acronyms as well. I think marketing would be good fit for me. I would like to know what would be the best way to get into this career now as an intern. Which places around Fort Collins would be a good start?
CIS- Computer Information Systems would not be a concentration I am considering, for the sole fact that I do not want my whole career to be about computers. I have no problem working with computers, or always getting up to date with new computer software, but I need human interaction. I also feel as if I wouldn't be able to express my creativity in a job such as CIS. I would like to be furthermore acquainted with what they actually do though.
Finance- Management of large amounts of money sounds very appealing to me. I would have to learn more about this career though. I am not sure if you advise people how to spend their money, or what you do. I love making spread sheets on excel, power points, etc. I am not very informed of this, but it is something I am VERY interested in learning more about.
Real Estate- Real Estate was one concentration I always wanted to have under my belt. I feel that at the time this wouldn't be the best time for this concentration, but by the time we graduate I believe real estate will be booming again. Real Estate as well as Marketing has all of the traits I look for in a career as well. The people aspect, the numbers, and the creativity. I love show homes, and to be able to show them, and sell one, the accomplishment would be really rewarding. Also, I am very good at persuasion. This would be a serious job that you could make fun, and I really like that.
3. My four letters are ESFJ. Careers that would be suitable for me according to this test are Management, Public Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Sales/Marketing Specialist, Fashion Merchandising.
I agree with both tests. I have taken these tests before, in a business class in high school, that is how I knew what major I wanted to be in. I am a very organized and systematic person. I finish assignments in a timely manner, I like quiet work places. Everything they said about my personality and work ethic is true.
